These Crock Pot Swedish Meatballs are super yummy as either an appetizer or as a main part of a meal. The best thing about this meat ball recipe is that it only consists of 3 ingredients and there is no pre-cooking! All you do is just dump everything into your crock pot and set it to cook.
Crock Pot Swedish Meatballs
You’ll Need:
- 1 bag (32-oz.) frozen meatballs, Homestyle variety
- 1 jar (12-oz.) Heinz HomeStyle Gravy, Savory Beef
- 1 container (8-oz.) sour cream
Crock Pot Swedish Meatballs Directions:
Step 1: Pour the whole jar of Savory Beef flavored gravy into the crock pot. Next, add the whole container of sour cream. Stir these two together until they are completely blended (see below).
Step 2: Add the package of frozen meatballs (fill about two-thirds to three-quarters of the pot). Now, stir until they are all covered with the sauce and put the cover on. Let cook, stirring the meatballs once and awhile.
Step 3: Cook on low at least 5 hours or until meatballs are cooked through. Enjoy!
Serving Suggestions: You can use these as either an appetizer or serve the meatballs over egg noodles or with mashed potatoes. The extra sauce that is in the crock pot you can use as a gravy over the noodles or mashed potatoes.
*This recipe would be great to make for all those Super Bowl parties coming up!

Thanks for the recipe. I did change some things mostly because of what was in the pantry. I used 36oz meatballs, Heinz Turkey gravy and probably 10 oz sourcream. Also, in the last 10 minutes of cooking I added and stirred in about 1/8 tsp fresh grated nutmeg. Gave it just the right kick! Easy to make easy to cleanup on a busy night.

How long do I cook this?

I have the same question how long do you cook these for since they are already precooked I saw where it said low or 5 but is that 5 hours as that seems like a long time for precooked meatballs
Amy Arndt says
I updated the cooking time in the directions. You should cook the meatballs on low for at least 5 hours or until they are cooked through. Yes, 5 hours seems like a long time, but you are adding these to the crock pot when they are frozen and using the whole bag so it takes at least that long to cook all of them.

How much sour cream? You did not list how many cups or what size your container was.

This dish is much easier than i thought. Can i use cream cheese instead of sour cream for this recipe? It won’t make any change in the texture of the dish, will it?

Hi! Is there no print option?

I made this for dinner last night. I wasn’t too crazy about the flavor honestly. However my refrigerator messed up and my sour cream was frozen so I’m not sure if that made a difference. Could very well have been my fault. Anyways I cooked on low for 5 hours the last hour I added in egg noodles. Then when I served it I added paprika on top. I’d like to try making this again with sour cream that isn’t frozen!
