How to Create an “Outdoor Oasis”

July 10, 2014 by Kimberly Danger Leave a Comment

So, my patio is pretty boring right now, as you can see from these pictures.  I have been really busy with the kids’ activities so far this summer, and fixing up my outdoor space has not even been a blip on my radar.  But, now that things are slowing down a bit I’m looking for tips and ideas to create a relaxing “outdoor oasis” for my family and friends.

Kohls Outdoor Oasis

I found some cute candles, outdoor lights, indoor/outdoor pillow and other accessories on sale at Kohl’s this week.  I loved the items on this “shell out less cash” display, so I got the red candles and jar candle holders.

My budget was not big – less than $100.  What I have is shown below.  Now, I need some advice on what to do and how to make the most of what remains and how I should arrange the things I already have.  I have some plants, pots and jars I can use as well.

What are YOUR tips for creating an outdoor oasis?  What should I do with what I have, and things I can pick up for next to nothing?  Leave your comments below and I’ll share my “after” photos next week!
