Paper Plate Craft: Wind Twirler

December 29, 2010 by Susie Chadwick Leave a Comment

Here’s another paper plate craft my preschooler and I did for some indoor fun this week. Ours is more of a ceiling fan twirler than a wind twirler, but it works great and we had fun doing it. Plus, it is super easy, and doesn’t require any prep work.

To make this paper plate twirler craft you’ll need:
1 paper plate
scissors
string/yarn
craft supplies to decorate (we just used markers)

First, draw a spiral on your paper plate, so you know where to cut it. Then decorate! We just used markers. I highly recommend coloring the back of the paper plate as well. If you hang it up high, that’s all you’ll see.

Cut along the line, then add some string to the center, using a staple, tape, or just poke a hole and tie a knot like I did.

Hang and enjoy! Hang it outdoors, if you dare, or just hang it indoors and turn your ceiling fan on, like I did. Like this craft? Find more paper plate crafts. Cheap paper plates work best for paper plate crafts, and you can buy a pack at the dollar store.

First heard of this craft idea here.
