If you see bags of red and green christmas m&ms on clearance while you're out shopping, don't pass them up.Β Simply sort the red ones from the green ones, and you'll have special holiday-colored M&Ms for Valentine's Day as well St. Patty's Day.
M&Ms look fun and festive in monster cookies, so put them in plastic zipper bags and tuck them away in the freezer until you'll need them (otherwise if you're like me, you'll eat them before the actual holiday arrives).

I was trying to find Christmas M & M’s just a few days before Christmas and all I could find were the peanut ones, actually could find about anything but the plain which I wanted. Finally bought just a reg. pack and sorted the red & green out! The wedding idea was a great one though!! Will have to tuck that one away, have some kids here of marrying age!

You could save the green ones to use for St. Patrick’s day.

I did this just last weekend! My kids laughed at me, but now I have proof, other moms are doing it too π
If I don’t use them for St. Pat’s day, will use them as treats at a 4H meeting.

You can Do the same with hershey kisses. The silver is the normal.color so you can keep those out in Jan. Then the red in Feb. And the green in march.
It’s pretty much the same with all the candies that are colored. You just have to avoid the shaped (ie: bells, santas, ect.) Ones. If you note the expiration date, you will find they last several months. I think hershey kisses say almost good for a year after.
If they will last that long in your house then red and silver kisses can be used at 4th of July.
