Butterscotch Crunchies are a yummy Christmas treat that consist of only three ingredients, take just a few minutes to make, and are so versatile that you can usually just use what you have on hand.  Plus, this recipe is no-bake and kid-friendly.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups Corn Flakes
  • 1 (11 oz.) pkg. Butterscotch Chips
  • 1/2. cup Peanut Butter
  • Optional: Christmas sprinkles

butterscotch crunchiesLine cookie sheets with wax paper and set aside.

In a large saucepan, melt the butterscotch chips over low heat until all melted. Add the peanut butter and stir well together.

butterscotch crunchiesRemove the saucepan from the heat and add the corn flakes. Mix well until all the corn flakes are coated.

butterscotch crunchiesDrop spoonfuls of the corn flake mixture onto the cookie sheets. If you want you can sprinkle each Butterscotch Crunchie with sprinkles.

butterscotch crunchiesPut the cookie sheets into the refrigerator until the Butterscotch Crunchies are chilled about 30-45 minutes. Once they are chilled, take them out of the refrigerator and eat.

*Note: You can use chow mein noodles instead of the corn flakes. Additional ingredients that you can use are raisins, miniature marshmallows and peanuts.
