twix candy cookie bars - copycat recipe

Copycat Twix Cookie Bars

  • Keebler Club Crackers (approx. 1/3 box)
  • 2/3 C. sugar
  • 1/2 C. brown sugar
  • 1/2 C. butter
  • 1 C. crushed graham crackers
  • 1/4 C. milk
  •  2/3 C. peanut butter
  • 3/4 C. milk chocolate chips
  • 1/4 C. peanut butter chips (you may substitute butterscotch chips)

Instructions:

Lightly butter a 9 x 13 inch pan.  Place one layer of Club crackers on the bottom of the pan.  Melt butter in a bowl in the microwave.  Add white sugar, brown sugar, graham crackers, and milk to the melted butter.  Cook 4-5 minutes on high, stirring occasionally.  Make sure the mixture doesn’t boil over. Pour over layer of crackers and spread evenly.   Top with another layer of crackers.  Mix peanut butter, chocolate chips, and peanut butter chips (or butterscotch chips).  Melt in microwave. When melted, stir and pour over crackers.  Sprinkle with nuts if desired.  Cool and cut into rectangles.
