These crock pot Cheesy bacon potatoes are sooo good that you can never go wrong making them! The bacon and onion flavors mixed with the melted cheese and potatoes is heaven on a fork when you take a bite of them.
Crock Pot Cheesy Potatoes
- 8 red potatoes, quartered
- 1 small onion, sliced thinly
- 1 package (2.5 oz) real bacon pieces
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 Tbsps. butter
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- Aluminum foil for crock pot
Directions:
Step 1: Line your crock pot with aluminum foil allowing enough overhang so that you can cover the potatoes. By doing this it will steam the potatoes and they won't stick.
Step 2: Thinly slice a small onion up and quarter 8 red potatoes.
Step 3: Spray your crock pot with cooking spray so that your potatoes won't stick.
Step 4: Layer half of the quartered red potatoes and thinly sliced onions in the crock pot. Now sprinkle half of the package of bacon pieces on top of the onions. Sprinkle 3/4 c. shredded cheese on top of the bacon pieces. Season with salt and pepper. Now, take 1 Tbsp. of butter and dot the top of it.
Step 5: Repeat the layers again, using the rest of the potatoes, onions, package of bacon pieces and 3/4 c. shredded cheese.Β Also, season with salt and pepper again and use the other 1 Tbsp. of butter to dot the top of it.
Step 6: Take the overlapping foil and cover the potatoes. Put the crock pot cover on and cook on low 4-6 hours.
Step 7: When it is done cooking, carefully open the foil and put the remaining shredded cheese (1/2 c.) on the potatoes. Fold the foil back down, recover and let cook until the cheese is all melted. This doesn't take very long.
Step 8: ENJOY!!!!
