These cute Frankenstein Marshmallow Pops are another super-cute Halloween Treat that your kids will love. I won't lie to you – these are little time-consuming and putzy. I made a dozen and they took nearly an hour. However, if you're up for the challenge they'd be a cute addition to any Halloween Party spread. Here's what you'll need:
Frankenstein Marshmallow Pops
You'll need these tools:
- Green Wilton Candy Melts
- Brown Wilton Candy Melts
- Marshmallows
- Wilton Candy Eyes
- Candy Pens
- Pretzel sticks
- cake pop sticks
Press the cake pop sticks into the center of your marshmallows. Melt the green candy melts according to package instructions. Either dip your marshmallows in them, or as I did use a knife to spread it on evenly. Use a cup filled with rice to use as an impromptu cake pop stand and place in the refrigerator for about 5 minutes until the candy coating starts to harden slightly.
Next, melt the brown candy melts just slightly in the microwave (just 15 seconds worked for me). Using a knife, place the candy on the top of each Frankenstein head and spread a little bit, creating tufts of hair with your knife (or a toothpick).
Cut each pretzel stick in thirds, discarding the middle portion. Press into the sides to create bolts on the side of the head. Next, attach the wilton candy eyes by dabbing a little bit of the remaining green candy melts on the back and pressing onto the marshmallow. Use the Wilton pens to create the scars on the head and the mouth.
