Here's another fun craft to do with your kids using paper plates. I love doing kids crafts with paper plates because it feels like most of the work is done for me. Other than paper plates, just a few basic supplies are needed. This kangaroo craft uses a paper plate to make a mama kangaroo and her baby joey.
Kangaroo Craft Supplies:
1 1/2 paper plates
tan or brown cardstock
kangaroo coloring page (I used this one)
tape or glue
To make the mama kangaroo and her pouch, color the plates if desired. Color the kangaroo coloring page. Staple the half plate on the bottom half of the whole paper plate. Cut the coloring page and glue the kangaroo's head and arms to the top of the paper plate pouch. Glue the tail and legs of the kangaroo to the bottom.
To make the baby kangaroo, I just drew a kangaroo based on the coloring page on tan cardstock and cut it out. You could print another coloring page to use for the baby kangaroo, but I had a hard time finding one that didn't have a baby in its pouch!
Put the baby joey in the mama kangaroo's pouch and your kangaroo craft is complete!
