If you have school aged children, you know how hectic it is in the morning to get them up, dressed, school items all together and still have time to feed them a hot breakfast.
Eggs, are something that my Mom would make for me, for breakfast before I left for school, but my mornings seem to be pretty hectic. So, for me, getting out that frying pan and waiting for that egg to cook on top of the stove is time consuming!
Thank goodness for the microwave. You can cook a hot, delicous breakfast in a minute and it only cost pennies!
Eggs (You can also use Egg Beaters, I will have directions for those at the end)
Fork (For scrambled eggs)
Salt and Pepper (Optional)
Directions for Scrambled Egg:
Crack egg into a glass bowl that you have sprayed with cooking spray, add a little milk and scramble the egg.
Put in the microwave for 1 minute. When done, break up with a fork.
Directions for Fried Egg:
Crack egg into a glass bowl that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Put in microwave for 1 minute.
*If you want to make 2 eggs at once, cook them for 90 seconds.
*You can also add diced up ham, bacon, vegetables or shredded cheese to the scrambled egg to make it into an omelet.
*Using Egg Beaters – Pour the desired amount of Egg Beaters into a microwave-safe bowl. Cover and cook at high (100%) power for 1 minute. Stir. Cook 1/2 to 1 minute more until set but slightly moist.
Does it taste the same? I wonder if my kids would eat that? Maybe the baby but IDk about the big kids.
I LOVE microwave eggs! I have six kids from 10 to 2, and they do their own eggs all the time. Everyone always wants something different to eat, so this is a great way for them to have an alternative they can make themselves. They taste exactly the same too!
