We tried a new addition to our Muffin Tin Meal this Monday – kebab skewers. I already had these short bamboo skewers. My preschooler had picked out the 6″ bamboo skewers when we bought them because they were her size. Maggie likes cantaloupe, but before today it’d been a long time since she’d had any. To reintroduce it, I put cantaloupe cubes on a skewer along as part of her muffin tin meal. As you can see, she was interested.
There are no more Muffin Tin Monday themes, so we’re just continuing with the colors for now. Today’s orange-themed muffin tin meal had mango juice, cantaloupe cubes on a skewer, a carrot (she likes whole carrots) and orange slices. See the little hand sneaking the cantaloupe skewer? I thought about doing cheese cubes on a skewer as well, but I realized that there’s no orange cheese in India.
She ate everything but the orange slices. I peeled one and had her taste it, but she wasn’t interested. I served this muffin tin meal as an afternoon snack.

I haven’t tried kebabs with JDaniel. They look like fun.

I haven’t tried muffin tin meals yet, but we do love making pictures with our food, and food on a stick is always a huge hit. I recently got my friends son to eat more then half an apple because it was on a stick, and he never ever eats apples, or really any fruit.
