Spinach and Provolone Cheese Omelet

June 21, 2023 by Kim Danger Leave a Comment

Spinach and Provolone OmeletIf you’re a fan of starting your day with a plate full of flavor and nutrients, then this Spinach and Provolone Cheese Omelet recipe is just for you. This recipe is super easy, healthy, and requires only a few ingredients – it’s perfect for those busy mornings!

Ingredients:

  • 8 large eggs
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, washed and chopped
  • 1 cup Provolone cheese, grated or sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil

Instructions:

  1. Whisk the eggs: In a bowl, crack your eggs and whisk them well. Season with a bit of salt and pepper for added taste.
  2. Prepare your spinach: In a non-stick frying pan, heat a tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the spinach and sauté until wilted. This should take about 2-3 minutes. Remove the spinach from the pan and set aside.
  3. Cook the omelet: In the same pan, add another tablespoon of olive oil. Pour in the beaten eggs and let them cook over medium heat for 1-2 minutes until they start to set around the edges.
  4. Add the fillings: Sprinkle the sautéed spinach evenly over one-half of the eggs. Do the same with the Provolone cheese. Once the cheese starts to melt and the eggs are nearly fully set, use a spatula to fold the omelet in half.
  5. Serve and enjoy: Slide the omelet onto a plate. You can cut it into halves or quarters to serve. Enjoy it hot for the best experience!

Packed with protein from the eggs, fiber from the spinach, and calcium from the Provolone cheese, this Spinach and Provolone Cheese Omelette is a healthy and fulfilling way to kick-start your day. Not to mention, the creamy Provolone and the fresh spinach make an incredibly tasty combo!
