Don’t you dare use your frozen salmon as a meal! There is carbon monoxide in that fish, to promote it is ridiculous! Know your products!

Actually, Aldi has a stricter fish sustainability purchasing policy than almost any other store. Is it perfect? No, but there isn’t a lot of salmon to be caught in my Missouri back yard, I have to get it somewhere lol

Carbon monoxide? As in the lighter than air compound that occurs naturally in every form of animal life? Oh no, there are animal lifeforms on our planet now. Possibly a Troposphere too.
By the way how is life going without any Blood? I assume you are some kind of vampire freak since carbon monoxide would be naturally produced by heme oxygenase should your body have any hemoglobin.

I now have to reply to myself to point out that I did not willingly include any kind of link for h.e.m.y. o.x.y.g.e.n.a.s.e

Out of curiosity, why is it bad to have carbon monoxide in fish? Ive heard markets do it to make it look a more appealing color, but what does it to to your health and why doesnt it just cook itself out?

This sounds good for the most part, but cottage cheese alone for lunch? Not very realistic…

That was incomplete, not intentional. I updated it.

Is there a print button to print the menu and shopping list? I am overlooking it, if it is on here.

The use of carbon monoxide in meats is not bad except that it deceives people into thinking the meat is fresher than it really is. You have to ask yourself is this piece of meat fresh? You have to rely on the grocery store to be honest about the printed date on the package. Can you trust the grocery store?

Is there a way to join a mailing list to get a new plan every week or every other week?

The shopping list doesn’t include many items needed 🙁 I believe it will cost more than it seems and some items can’t be bought at aldis.

Hi Jannah – I did not include basic pantry ingredients in my list since most people have them at home already. The main ingredients should all be found at ALDI, however.

Thank you for a great list! You would think peoples common sense would prevail and they would realize that if you can’t find an item at your local Aldi’s or you aren’t comfortable with a certain item…you are free to swap it out.

The grocery list that you put together for this meal plan does not have everything that we need for meals. Please update this so we aren’t stuck with a bunch of food that we now don’t know what to do with it.

Realizing “clean” means different things to different people, are you focused at all on organics? Berries, potatoes, wheat for example are all GMO or high pesticide foods. I don’t do much shopping at Aldi for this reason alone although I do know they carry some non-GMO, organic foods. Again, I do know we all have a different view of clean so this is why I ask.

In general, clean eating doesn’t necessarily mean organic. Although ALDI does carry a lot of organic options.
