Next to our home and cars, food is our biggest expense. That's why I'm always looking for new ways to save on groceries. HOWEVER – I am not willing to sacrifice quality just to save money. So, I was pretty excited to see that Cub Foods is making finding great deals easier for their customers. They've got new pricing rollbacks on everyday food items I would purchase anyway. Just look for the yellow signs throughout the store. Plus, with their new lower prices and the Load To Card program, Cub is making it even easier for shoppers to save. Gotta love that!

Frugal Meal Planning
Using the new Cub Lower Prices, along with some price drops and manager's specials, I was able to put together a menu plan for five inexpensive dinners. It's amazing how far you can stretch $25! I found a bone-in turkey breast for just $9.60. It was the basis for a few of my meals. Paired with inexpensive staples like rice, beans, frozen veggies and staples I had at home; I got several frugal meals that were healthy as well. Here are some tips to keep in mind when planning meals:
- Bone-in meats are usually more cost-effective than boneless cuts. The crock pot is your best friend! Prepare the meat for one meal, then use leftovers in other meals throughout the week.
- Rice, pasta, and beans are SUPER frugal. Incorporate them into your meal plans to stretch your budget.
- Frozen veggies are not only inexpensive, they're healthy. Plus, they're easy to keep on hand to use as a quick side dish.
