Muffin Tin Monday: Circles Tin and Activities

May 16, 2011 by Susie Chadwick 6 Comments

The theme for this week’s Muffin Tin Meal is Circles! We not only had circle food in our muffin tin lunch, we did a couple of circle-themed activities to go along with it: Ring Around the Rosie and Circle Tracing.  We just gathered up a bunch of circle-shaped lids and recycled containers and used markers to trace around them.  This simple activity fascinated my preschooler.

Our Circles Muffin Tin Meal contained:

  • tomato slices
  • peas
  • banana chips
  • carrot slices
  • homemade pretzel circles
  • hardboiled egg

I wasn’t sure how well the tomatoes and egg would go over.  Sure enough, they were last and I had to convince her to even try them.

They usually like the tomato better if you dice it. That pretzel is great!

My girl won’t touch tomatoes, but she loves egg! I agree with everyone else – the pretzel looks yummy.
