On grocery shopping days, my kids nearly always have something like peanut butter sandwiches, chicken nuggets, or hot dogs and french fries for lunch. We get home after lunchtime and close to naptime, and there’s no time or energy left for anything else. Of course, even a boring lunch like that is more fun in a muffin tin!
This week, I used the opportunity to introduce Maggie to BBQ sauce and Ranch dressing dips, in addition to her usual ketchup. She tried all three dips and loved them, plus she ate every bite of her food. Not only that, but she’s requested carrot and “white dip” for snacks ever since.
Our Triple Dip Muffin Tin Meal included:
- Mini chicken dogs
- Carrot sticks
- Smilies (“crispy mashed potatoes”)
- Ketchup
- Ranch dressing
- BBQ sauce

What a success! This meal sounds like it went over big.

Cute idea! My kids love to dip everything. I don’t think we go through many meals without ranch or ketchup on their plates. I joke that they’ll eat anything as long as there is dip!

Emily and Juliette would love this muffin tin…they are big dippers 🙂
I love that a muffin tin makes a boring lunch into something so exciting…it is such a great way to get the kids excited for lunch and to try new things too!
