Do you like to give homemade treats as gifts to your friends, co-workers and neighbors? This peppermint bark candy recipe is quick and practically foolproof. You only need two ingredients: smashed peppermint and melted white chocolate. This recipe makes about 1/2 pan of peppermint bark.
To make the peppermint pieces, put 3 ounces of candy canes or peppermint candies in a plastic bag and smash it with a hammer or a rolling pin.
To melt the white chocolate, put 12 ounces of white chocolate chips in a microwave safe container and cook for 30 seconds at a time, stirring well, until melted.
Add the peppermint to the melted white chocolate and stir. Spread on a cookie sheet lined with waxed paper.
Cool in the fridge. Once it is cool, break the peppermint bark into pieces.
We’ve given peppermint bark as a gift to extended family, neighbors, and to co-workers as Christmas gifts in the past. It is also a fun holiday treat to make with your kids – it is easy and mainly involves stirring.
