Start the new year off with a new chore routine for your kids. Make a magnetic chore chart using these dollar store supplies.
I found these star magnets and the magnetic whiteboard in the school supply aisle at Dollar Tree. They also had circle and heart magnets in the same size and some smaller ones.
To make a magnetic chore chart, use a permanent marker to write each chore on a magnet. Then, divide the magnetic whiteboard in half and label each half “To Do” and “Done”. As your child completes his chores, he can slide the appropriate magnet to the “Done” side of the chart.
Do you use a chore chart or system for your kids? What works for your family?

What a cute simple idea. I just got my almost 2 yr old and 4 yr old the Melissa and Doug charts (on amazon for under $10) and can’t wait to get them on the wall and utilize them

That’s a really good idea. I’ve tried a couple of different methods from a $20 board with preprinted magnets with chores on them, to a piece of poster board, and neither of those have worked. I think this is great though because my 8 yr. old can help create it. Thanks for sharing.
