This recipe was passed down to me from my dad who picked it up during his Boy Scout days. It is just as yummy now as it was when I was growing up.
Ingredients:
* Jimmy Dean Sausage (use this $1 off coupon)
* Pillsbury Biscuits (use this $.30 off two coupon)
* McCormick Country Gravy mix
Directions:
1. Preheat oven per biscuit instructions. Defrost sausage. Bake biscuits according to directions.
2. Brown the sausage. Tip: Cover pot with a lid while browning, this decreases cooking time and decreases utilities used. This tip is from Instant Bargains by Kimberly Danger.
3. Once sausage is thoroughly cooked, add McCormick Country Gravy and 2 cups of cold water to the meat. Stirring frequently, bring to a boil over medium high, reduce heat and simmer for at least a minute.
4. Serve sausage gravy over warm biscuits and enjoy!
From my price book: Jimmy Dean often goes on sale for $2- $2.50 each. Wait for a sale then buy your sausage using your coupon.

My son (5 yr old) has to have sausage and gravy at least 4 times a week! I use a simple recipe for the gravy that most of us already have in stock — 2 tbs butter, 2 tbs all purpose flour, and 1 cup of milk. Just wanted to share in case some of you don’t have McCormick’s in the pantry. 😉
