Trick or Tweet: Pumpkin Bird Feeder

September 11, 2010 by Kimberly Danger 1 Comment

Scoop out the inside of a small pumpkin and fill with birdseed to create a frugal, yet colorful and attractive outdoor decoration.  We strung twine through ours and hung it near our birdfeeder, but you could simply set it on a step or patio.

Better yet, open the top scrap and replace with the pumpkin seeds and a bit of the pulp. We emptied the seeds all over our deck rails last year and we had a zillion titmice…they apparently LOVE pumpkin seeds. My daughter thought it was the coolest thing.
