Muffin Tin Monday: Playdate Muffin Tin Meal

September 19, 2011 by Susie Chadwick 3 Comments

This week we shared the idea of Muffin Tin Meals with a friend during a playdate.  I posted on the message board about a friend who was struggling with being stuck in the house with her son all day.  They came to our house for a day to get some ideas of things to do around the house for fun, and one of the things I shared was Muffin Tin Meals!

I didn’t have a theme for the tins I put together for the kids, but just the idea of doing something a little different makes things more fun around the house.

Our Playdate Muffin Tin Meal included:

  • Carrot circles
  • Yakult (Maggie’s friend also loves this drink and they always have them together)
  • Pomegranate seeds
  • Apple slices
  • Mini meat and potato pies
  • Ranch dressing

Here are the kids “biking” together after lunch.

This looks nutritious and fun! My kids love pomegranate seeds, but I’ve never thought of putting them in their tins before…good idea!
