Bacon-Wrapped Dates with Brie

November 30, 2018 by Kim Danger Leave a Comment

These sweet-and-savory date bites are great to bring to parties.   The fun part is having people ask what’s inside… very few will guess dates, almonds and brie!  Bake them just before you leave, then put them in a small crock pot to keep warm.

Party Poppers:  Bacon Wrapped Dates with Brie

  • 1 pound bacon
  • 1 package pitted dates
  • 1 round of brie, cut in half (you’ll only need half)
  • Almonds
  • Pepper

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cut dates in half, lengthwise. Cut bacon in fourths. Cut brie into bite-size pieces, about the size of a peanut. Fill the the open half of the date with almond slices (about 5-6). Place the peanut-sized brie slice in the other half. Press the two halves together, then wrap with bacon. Secure with a toothpick. Sprinkle with pepper.
Place the wrapped dates on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Bake for 15 minutes or until bacon is crispy. Serve warm.
